Building Inclusive Communities Through Partnerships
At LSA, strong partnerships are at the heart of our mission—and we’re always looking to grow our community of supporters. Over the years, we’ve collaborated with local businesses, service organizations, faith communities, and related agencies to expand opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Our partners volunteer their time, sponsor events, provide in-kind donations, create inclusive workplace opportunities, and help us enhance our homes and programs.
These relationships lead to meaningful impact:
- For example, a local tech company, “adopted” one of our homes—hosting seasonal barbecues, funding new outdoor furniture, and spending time getting to know each resident by name.
- A community service club helped renovate a sensory-friendly common room, donating materials and volunteer labor so residents would have a calming, accessible space to relax and connect.
- A longtime community partner, a place of worship, regularly invites residents to social gatherings and holiday celebrations, helping members build friendships and feel deeply included in their community.
When you partner with LSA, the individuals we serve are supported not just by our staff, but by a broader community that knows them, welcomes them, and invests in their success. Long-term partnerships allow us to build trust, respond quickly to emerging needs, pilot new programs, and create more inclusive spaces where our residents can work, learn, and thrive.
Affordable Housing Month 2026
Building an inclusive space starts with a foundation of safe, accessible housing. This year, we are thrilled to partner with SV@Home and the Housing Leadership Council of San Mateo.

Guests had the unique opportunity to step inside the home that started it all— our founding Rivermark homes, serving residents since 2002. During this special tour, attendees learned about the scope of our work and our vision for the future of intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) housing services.
Let’s Build a Partnership Together
If your company is interested in making a real difference for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, we would love to connect.
Together, we can design a partnership that aligns with your goals and helps build a stronger, more inclusive community for the people we serve and their families.
