John has been an LSA board member since 2016. For over 35 years he has been the Proprietor of Pencer Instrument Care, responsible for the inspection and repair of surgical instruments , for hospitals and surgery centers, in the bay area. Prior to Pencer Instrument care, he spent 10 years as a plant engineer, manager of manufacturing, then general manager of Snowden-Pencer, a division of Parke-Davis, manufacturing high quality surgical instruments. His community involvement includes over 40 years serving on the Board, and as a chair, of the Santa Clara Valley YMCA, and as a member, and past president, of the Los Gatos Rotary. John and his wife, Devonne have three adult children, the oldest of whom, Jennifer, is developmentally disabled, and lives with them, in their home.
