Diana’s Bright Spirit Shines at Salerno Home
Diana joined Salerno Home in the summer of 2025 and has quickly become a beloved part of the LSA community. Known for her bright smile and expressive personality, she lights up every room she enters. She communicates with sign language, often greeting everyone with a cheerful wave and calling them “beautiful” — a gesture that never fails to make people smile back. It’s a simple expression that captures her kind heart and the joy she brings to those around her.

Before coming to LSA, Diana spent a year in a skilled nursing facility while recovering from a injury. After such a long stay, finally settling into a true home again meant a great deal to her—and it shows. She adapted to Salerno quickly, forming easy connections with staff and housemates, and growing more vocal and confident in her communication each day.
Socializing is one of Diana’s greatest joys. She loves chatting with staff, watching TV with her housemates, and joining group outings. Her excitement to connect with others is always evident. She especially looks forward to special events like LSA’s Halloween Party, where she gets to dress up, dance, and express herself freely among friends.
Music is another one of Diana’s favorite ways to connect. Each week, she eagerly participates in music therapy, clapping, singing, and moving to the beat of the guitar and piano. Her all-time favorite song is “Old McDonald Had a Farm,” which she sings with enthusiasm—complete with joyful animal sounds that never fail to make everyone laugh along with her. Karaoke nights are another highlight; she loves performing alongside staff and housemates, filling the room with music and warmth.

Salerno staff describe Diana as friendly, welcoming, and full of life. She’s always the first to say hello and the last to stop smiling. Her positivity is contagious, creating an atmosphere of belonging wherever she goes. She loves talking with others, asking questions, and sharing moments of pure joy.
Living at Salerno has given Diana the space to be her most authentic self—supported, expressive, and surrounded by people who adore her energy and kindness. With the encouragement of caring staff and the companionship of her housemates, she continues to grow more confident each day, leaving a lasting impression through her laughter, her warmth, and her beautiful spirit.
