Still, Elvira’s heart is with her family, especially her son who lives in Mexico. Though they stay in touch through messenger, she dreams of the day he can join her in San Jose. She shared: “I want just one room and to bring my son here.” For Elvira, it isn’t about having much — just being together in a place where he can be loved and they can share a life together.
